Abstract
ABSTRACT
Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD), also known as necrotizing histiocytic lymphadenitis, typically presents as cervical lymphadenopathy and fever of unknown origin. It is often mistaken for lymphoma, tuberculous lymphadenitis, or nonspecific infections. Laboratory results commonly show leukopenia and an elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Histopathological examination confirms the diagnosis. In this report, we review current KFD literature and describe a case from our clinic with fever of unknown origin.
