Her y\u0131l yakla\u015f\u0131k yar\u0131m milyon \u00e7ocuk, bu hastal\u0131k nedeniyle ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131 yitirmektedir (1). Gastroenterite neden olan etkenler aras\u0131nda bakteriler, viruslar ve parazitler yer almakta olup sorumlu mikroorganizman\u0131n t\u00fcr\u00fc, mevsim, ya\u015f grubu ve co\u011frafi b\u00f6lgeye g\u00f6re farkl\u0131l\u0131k g\u00f6sterebilmektedir (2,3).<\/p>\n<p>Be\u015f ya\u015f alt\u0131 \u00e7ocuklarda bildirilen gastroenterit olgular\u0131n\u0131n yakla\u015f\u0131k %93\u2019\u00fcnden viral etkenlerin sorumlu oldu\u011fu, rotavirus ve adenovirusun en s\u0131k kar\u015f\u0131la\u015f\u0131lan viral patojenler aras\u0131nda yer ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 bildirilmektedir (4,5). Bununla birlikte, rotavirus ve adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n yaln\u0131zca be\u015f ya\u015f alt\u0131 \u00e7ocuklarla s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 kalmad\u0131\u011f\u0131; be\u015f ya\u015f \u00fczerindeki \u00e7ocuklarda ve baz\u0131 durumlarda eri\u015fkinlerde de klinik olarak anlaml\u0131 bir s\u0131kl\u0131kta g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc ve h\u00e2len \u00f6nemli bir morbidite nedeni olmaya devam etti\u011fi bildirilmektedir (6\u20139).<\/p>\n<p>Rotavirus, Reoviridae ailesine ait, \u00e7ift sarmall\u0131 RNA i\u00e7eren, zarfs\u0131z ve ikozahedral simetrili bir virustur (10). T\u00fcm d\u00fcnyada her y\u0131l yakla\u015f\u0131k 258 milyon ishal olgusu ve 129 000\u2013200 000 aras\u0131nda \u00f6l\u00fcm rotavirus infeksiyonuna ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak bildirilmi\u015ftir (11). \u00d6zellikle geli\u015fmekte olan \u00fclkelerde olgu y\u00fck\u00fc \u00e7ok daha fazlad\u0131r. Bu nedenle rotavirus infeksiyonu, yaln\u0131zca ki\u015fisel sa\u011fl\u0131k de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda toplum sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan da \u00f6nemli bir sorundur (10).<\/p>\n<p>Rotavirus a\u015f\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n 2006 y\u0131l\u0131ndan itibaren rutin ba\u011f\u0131\u015f\u0131klama programlar\u0131na dahil edilmesiyle, bir\u00e7ok \u00fclkede hastaneye yat\u0131\u015f ve \u00f6l\u00fcm oranlar\u0131nda %25 ila %55 aras\u0131nda azalma sa\u011fland\u0131\u011f\u0131 bildirilmi\u015ftir (1,10,12,13). \u00dclkemizde ise uygulanmakta olan iki farkl\u0131 marka rotavirus a\u015f\u0131s\u0131 [RotaTeq\u00ae (Merck &amp; Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, ABD) ve Rotarix\u00ae (GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals, Rixensart, Bel\u00e7ika)] bulunmakla birlikte bu a\u015f\u0131lar rutin a\u015f\u0131 takviminde yer almamaktad\u0131r (14,15). Ancak a\u015f\u0131lamaya ra\u011fmen, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde h\u00e2len gastroenteritli \u00e7ocuklar\u0131n %8\u201310\u2019unda ve hastaneye yat\u0131r\u0131lanlar\u0131n %35\u201340\u2019\u0131nda rotavirus pozitifli\u011fi saptand\u0131\u011f\u0131 bildirilmi\u015ftir; bu durum da infeksiyonun yay\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n s\u00fcrd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc g\u00f6stermektedir (3).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Rotavirus infeksiyonlar\u0131 s\u0131kl\u0131kla k\u0131\u015f aylar\u0131nda veya ya\u011f\u0131\u015fs\u0131z\/kuru mevsimlerde art\u0131\u015f g\u00f6stermektedir. Klinik tablo, asemptomatik seyreden olgulardan, \u015fiddetli dehidratasyon, \u015fok ve \u00f6l\u00fcm gibi ciddi komplikasyonlarla sonu\u00e7lanabilen olgulara kadar de\u011fi\u015fkenlik g\u00f6stermektedir (16).<\/p>\n<p>Adenovirus ise \u00e7ift sarmall\u0131 lineer DNA\u2019ya sahip, zarfs\u0131z ve ikozahedral simetrili bir virustur (17). \u00d6zellikle tip 40 ve 41 serotipleri, enterik adenoviruslar olarak bilinmekte ve akut gastroenterite neden olan ba\u015fl\u0131ca viral ajanlar aras\u0131nda yer almaktad\u0131r (18). Adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131 y\u0131l boyunca g\u00f6r\u00fclebilmekle birlikte, \u00f6zellikle yaz aylar\u0131nda daha s\u0131k rapor edilmektedir (19). Rotavirustan sonra en yayg\u0131n enterik viral etken olan adenovirus, neden oldu\u011fu gastroenteritlerde genellikle daha hafif bir klinik seyir g\u00f6stermektedir. (20).<\/p>\n<p>Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n amac\u0131, gastrointestinal semptomlarla hastanemize ba\u015fvuran \u00e7ocuk hastalarda saptanan rotavirus ve adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n retrospektif olarak s\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 incelemek ve bu etkenlerin ya\u015f, cinsiyet ve mevsimsel de\u011fi\u015fkenliklere g\u00f6re da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 analiz etmektir.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Y\u00d6NTEMLER<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Ocak 2013 \u2013 Aral\u0131k 2024 tarihleri aras\u0131nda Bal\u0131kesir \u00dcniversitesi Ara\u015ft\u0131rma ve Uygulama Hastanesi\u2019ne ishal ve\/veya bulant\u0131-kusma \u015fikayetleriyle ba\u015fvuran, akut gastroenterit \u00f6n tan\u0131s\u0131 alan, rotavirus ve adenovirus antijen testi istenen 0\u201318 ya\u015f aral\u0131\u011f\u0131ndaki hastalara ait veriler, hastane bilgi y\u00f6netim sisteminden elde edilerek retrospektif olarak incelendi. Gaita \u00f6rneklerinde parazit (<i>Giardia intestinalis<\/i>, <i>Entamoeba histolytica<\/i>, vb.) veya bakteri (<i>Salmonella <\/i>spp., <i>Shigella<\/i> spp., <i>Campylobacter<\/i> spp., vb.) saptanan olgular \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaya dahil edilmedi.<\/p>\n<p>T\u0131bbi mikrobiyoloji laboratuvar\u0131na g\u00f6nderilen taze gaita \u00f6rneklerinde rotavirus ve adenovirus antijenlerini ayn\u0131 anda saptayabilen imm\u00fcnokromatografik kaset test y\u00f6ntemi [TEST-IT\u00ae Rota-Adeno (T\u00fcrklab, \u0130zmir, T\u00fcrkiye)] kullan\u0131ld\u0131. Test, \u00fcretici firman\u0131n \u00f6nerileri do\u011frultusunda uyguland\u0131. Testin duyarl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve \u00f6zg\u00fcll\u00fc\u011f\u00fc firma taraf\u0131ndan rotavirus i\u00e7in s\u0131ras\u0131yla %99.9 ve %98.4; adenovirus i\u00e7in ise %99.9 ve %99.0 olarak bildirilmi\u015ftir. Elde edilen viral antijen (rotavirus ve adenovirus) sonu\u00e7lar\u0131 ya\u015f gruplar\u0131na (0\u20132 ya\u015f, 3\u20135 ya\u015f, 6\u201310 ya\u015f ve 11\u201318 ya\u015f) g\u00f6re analiz edildi. Ayr\u0131ca olgular\u0131n mevsimsel ve cinsiyete g\u00f6re pozitiflik da\u011f\u0131l\u0131mlar\u0131 de\u011ferlendirildi.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7al\u0131\u015fma i\u00e7in Bal\u0131kesir \u00dcniversitesi Sa\u011fl\u0131k Bilimleri Giri\u015fimsel Olmayan Klinik Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar Etik Kurulu\u2019ndan 16 May\u0131s 2025 tarih ve 2025\/231 karar numaras\u0131yla onay al\u0131nd\u0131.<\/p>\n<h3><b>\u0130statistiksel Analizler<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Verilerin istatistiksel analizi IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, ABD) program\u0131 ile ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirildi. N\u00fcmerik veriler, rotavirus ve adenovirus i\u00e7in ayr\u0131 ayr\u0131 olmak \u00fczere, pozitif hastalar\u0131n ya\u015f ortalamas\u0131 \u00b1 standart sapmas\u0131 (SS) ve y\u00fczdesi olarak sunuldu. Kategorik de\u011fi\u015fkenler y\u00fczde olarak ifade edildi.<\/p>\n<p>Kategorik de\u011fi\u015fkenlerin kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131nda \u03c72 testi kullan\u0131ld\u0131. Rotavirus ve adenovirus antijen pozitifli\u011fi; ya\u015f gruplar\u0131, cinsiyet ve mevsimlere g\u00f6re her bir virus i\u00e7in pozitif ve negatif olgular ayr\u0131 ayr\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131larak analiz edildi. Gruplar aras\u0131ndaki pozitiflik oran\u0131 farklar\u0131n\u0131n istatistiksel anlaml\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 <i>p<\/i> de\u011ferleri ile de\u011ferlendirildi ve <i>p<\/i> &lt;0.05 de\u011feri istatistiksel olarak anlaml\u0131 kabul edildi.<\/p>\n<h2><b>BULGULAR<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada antijen pozitifli\u011fi ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lan toplam 1725 hastan\u0131n 950\u2019si (%55) erkek, 775\u2019i (%45) ise k\u0131zd\u0131. Hastalar\u0131n mevsimlere g\u00f6re da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m\u0131 incelendi\u011finde 273\u2019\u00fcn\u00fcn (%15.8) k\u0131\u015f, 409\u2019unun (%23.7) ilkbahar, 607\u2019sinin (%35.2) yaz ve 436\u2019s\u0131n\u0131n (%25.3) sonbahar aylar\u0131nda hastaneye ba\u015fvurdu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc. Ya\u015f gruplar\u0131na g\u00f6re da\u011f\u0131l\u0131mda hastalar\u0131n 618\u2019i (%35.8) 0\u20132 ya\u015f, 558\u2019i (%32.3) 3\u20135 ya\u015f, 376\u2019s\u0131 (%21.8) 6\u201310 ya\u015f ve 173\u2019\u00fc (%10.1) 11\u201318 ya\u015f grubundayd\u0131. Toplam 1725 hastan\u0131n 222\u2019sinde (%12.9) yaln\u0131zca rotavirus, 61\u2019inde (%3.5) yaln\u0131zca adenovirus, 29\u2019unda (%1.7) ise hem rotavirus hem de adenovirus antijen pozitifli\u011fi oldu\u011fu g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc. Rotavirus ve adenovirus antijenlerinin birlikte pozitif oldu\u011fu olgular en s\u0131k 3\u20135 ya\u015f grubunda g\u00f6zlenmekle birlikte, gruplar aras\u0131nda istatistiksel olarak anlaml\u0131 bir fark bulunmad\u0131 (<i>p<\/i>=0.088). Her iki virus i\u00e7in de antijen pozitifli\u011fi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan cinsiyetler aras\u0131nda istatistiksel olarak anlaml\u0131 bir fark saptanmad\u0131 (rotavirus i\u00e7in <i>p<\/i>=0.160; adenovirus i\u00e7in <i>p<\/i>=0.455). Literat\u00fcrdeki di\u011fer \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalara bak\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda ise, K\u00f6se ve arkada\u015flar\u0131 (16) adenovirus pozitifli\u011finin erkek \u00e7ocuklarda daha y\u00fcksek oldu\u011funu bildirirken, Vural ve arkada\u015flar\u0131 (30) rotavirus pozitifli\u011finin istatistiksel olarak anlaml\u0131 d\u00fczeyde erkeklerde daha s\u0131k g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc ifade etmi\u015ftir. Buna kar\u015f\u0131n, \u00fclkemizde ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen pek \u00e7ok farkl\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, bizim \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmam\u0131zda oldu\u011fu gibi cinsiyetler aras\u0131nda anlaml\u0131 bir farkl\u0131l\u0131k saptanmam\u0131\u015f ve benzer sonu\u00e7lar elde edilmi\u015ftir (19,21,32,34\u201337).<\/p>\n<p>Rotavirus ve adenovirus gastroenteritlerinin a\u011f\u0131rl\u0131kl\u0131 olarak 6 ay\u20132 ya\u015f aras\u0131ndaki \u00e7ocuklar\u0131 etkiledi\u011fi bildirilmi\u015ftir (38). Bununla birlikte, baz\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda rotavirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6zellikle iki ya\u015f\u0131n alt\u0131ndaki \u00e7ocuklarda, adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n ise d\u00f6rt ya\u015f\u0131n alt\u0131ndaki \u00e7ocuklarda daha yayg\u0131n oldu\u011fu bildirilmi\u015ftir (16,39). \u00c7al\u0131\u015fmam\u0131zda ise rotavirus antijeni pozitif olan olgular en fazla 3\u20135 ya\u015f aral\u0131\u011f\u0131nda g\u00f6r\u00fclmekle birlikte ya\u015f gruplar\u0131na g\u00f6re istatistiksel olarak anlaml\u0131 bir fark saptanmad\u0131 (<i>p<\/i>=0.238). Adenovirus antijeni pozitif olan olgular ise yine en s\u0131k 3\u20135 ya\u015f grubunda g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc ve bu da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m istatistiksel olarak anlaml\u0131 idi (<i>p<\/i>=0.014). Literat\u00fcrde bildirilen ya\u015f da\u011f\u0131l\u0131mlar\u0131 farkl\u0131l\u0131k g\u00f6stermektedir. K\u0131rca ve Demirel (32), hem rotavirus hem de adenovirus antijen pozitifli\u011fini 0\u20131 ve 2\u20133 ya\u015f gruplar\u0131nda daha s\u0131k saptam\u0131\u015flard\u0131r. Var\u0131\u015fl\u0131 ve arkada\u015flar\u0131 (28), rotavirusu 13\u201324 ay grubunda, adenovirusu ise 0\u201312 ay grubunda; \u015eenol ve arkada\u015flar\u0131 (20) ise rotavirusu 2\u20134 ya\u015f grubunda, adenovirusu 5\u20138 ya\u015f grubunda daha s\u0131k bildirmi\u015flerdir. \u00c7ayc\u0131 ve arkada\u015flar\u0131 (24) ve K\u00f6se ve arkada\u015flar\u0131 (16) ise hem rotavirus hem de adenovirus pozitifli\u011finde ya\u015flar aras\u0131nda istatistiksel olarak anlaml\u0131 bir fark bildirmemi\u015flerdir. Bu farkl\u0131 bulgular g\u00f6z \u00f6n\u00fcne al\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131nda hem rotavirusun hem de adenovirusun \u00e7ocukluk d\u00f6nemi gastroenteritlerinde ya\u015f fark\u0131 g\u00f6zetilmeksizin dikkate al\u0131nmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fcrmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Rotavirus infeksiyonlar\u0131 s\u0131kl\u0131kla k\u0131\u015f aylar\u0131nda, adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131 ise y\u0131l boyunca g\u00f6r\u00fclmekle birlikte her ikisinin de yaz aylar\u0131nda art\u0131\u015f g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi farkl\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda bildirilmi\u015ftir (16,19). \u00c7al\u0131\u015fmam\u0131zda ise rotavirus antijen pozitifli\u011finin ilkbahar mevsiminde anlaml\u0131 d\u00fczeyde artt\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6zlendi ve bu ili\u015fki istatistiksel olarak da anlaml\u0131 bulundu (<i>p<\/i>&lt;0.001). \u00d6te yandan, adenovirus pozitifli\u011fi a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan mevsimsel da\u011f\u0131l\u0131mda anlaml\u0131 bir farkl\u0131l\u0131k saptanmad\u0131; pozitiflik oranlar\u0131n\u0131n t\u00fcm mevsimlerde benzer d\u00fczeyde seyretti\u011fi belirlendi (<i>p<\/i>=0.782). \u00dclkemizde yap\u0131lan benzer \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda olduk\u00e7a farkl\u0131 sonu\u00e7lar elde edilmi\u015ftir. \u0130stanbul\u2019da y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fclen bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, hem rotavirus hem de adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n k\u0131\u015f aylar\u0131nda daha s\u0131k g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc bildirilmi\u015ftir (27). Mersin\u2019de ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, rotavirus pozitifli\u011finin en fazla k\u0131\u015f, adenovirus pozitifli\u011finin ise sonbahar aylar\u0131nda saptand\u0131\u011f\u0131 belirtilmi\u015ftir (36). Denizli\u2019de yap\u0131lan bir ba\u015fka \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada rotavirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n en y\u00fcksek oranda ilkbaharda, adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n ise k\u0131\u015f aylar\u0131nda g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc bildirilmi\u015ftir (31). Ankara\u2019da 2024 y\u0131l\u0131nda yay\u0131mlanan bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada rotavirus pozitifli\u011finin en s\u0131k ilkbaharda, adenovirus pozitifli\u011finin ise sonbaharda g\u00f6zlendi\u011fi rapor edilmi\u015ftir (33). Kars\u2019ta yap\u0131lan bir di\u011fer \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada ise rotavirus pozitifli\u011fi k\u0131\u015f ve ilkbahar aylar\u0131nda yayg\u0131n olarak g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcrken, adenovirus pozitifli\u011fi en fazla ilkbahar mevsiminde tespit edilmi\u015ftir (26). T\u00fcm bu veriler, rotavirus ve adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n mevsimsel da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m\u0131nda b\u00f6lgesel farkl\u0131l\u0131klar olabildi\u011fini ve bu farkl\u0131l\u0131klar\u0131n iklimsel fakt\u00f6rlerle ili\u015fkili olabilece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fcrmektedir.<\/p>\n<p>Ayr\u0131ca, \u00fclkemizde rotavirus ve adenovirus infeksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n tan\u0131s\u0131nda s\u0131kl\u0131kla imm\u00fcnokromatografik testler kullan\u0131lmakla birlikte, bu y\u00f6ntemin polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu (PCR) y\u00f6ntemine g\u00f6re duyarl\u0131l\u0131k ve \u00f6zg\u00fcll\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fcn daha d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck oldu\u011fu bilinmektedir (40). M\u0131s\u0131r\u2019da rotavirus pozitifli\u011fini farkl\u0131 y\u00f6ntemlerle ara\u015ft\u0131ran bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, kantitatif ger\u00e7ek zamanl\u0131 ters transkripsiyon polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu (qRT-PCR) ile 65 hastan\u0131n 50\u2019sinde (%76.9), imm\u00fcnokromatografik test ile 45\u2019inde (%69.2) ve \u201cenzyme-linked immunosorbent assay\u201d (ELISA) ile 44\u2019\u00fcnde (%67.7) rotavirus tespit edildi\u011fi bildirilmi\u015ftir (40). Benzer \u015fekilde, Kuzey Gana\u2019da adenovirus pozitifli\u011fini ara\u015ft\u0131ran bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, y\u00fcksek pozitiflik oran\u0131 (%27.6) saptanm\u0131\u015f ve ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar bunun nedenlerinden biri olarak di\u011fer y\u00f6ntemlere k\u0131yasla daha duyarl\u0131 olan \u201cnested PCR\u201d y\u00f6nteminin kullan\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6stermi\u015ftir (6).<\/p>\n<p>\u00c7al\u0131\u015fmam\u0131z\u0131n k\u0131s\u0131tl\u0131l\u0131klar\u0131 aras\u0131nda; retrospektif tasar\u0131m nedeniyle yaln\u0131zca rotavirus ve adenovirus s\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n incelenmi\u015f olmas\u0131, bu etkenlerin laboratuvar\u0131m\u0131zda yaln\u0131zca imm\u00fcnokromatografik testler ile de\u011ferlendirilmi\u015f olmas\u0131 ve PCR gibi daha duyarl\u0131 y\u00f6ntemlerin kullan\u0131lmam\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131 yer almaktad\u0131r. Bu durum, saptanan pozitif hasta say\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n ger\u00e7ek pozitif hasta say\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n alt\u0131nda kalm\u0131\u015f olabilece\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fcrmektedir. Ayr\u0131ca gastroenterite neden olan bakteriyel ve paraziter etkenlerin ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmamas\u0131, viral etkenlerin serotip analizinin yap\u0131lamamas\u0131 ile birlikte hastalar\u0131n a\u015f\u0131lanma durumlar\u0131 ve klinik \u00f6zelliklerine ili\u015fkin bilgilere ula\u015f\u0131lamamas\u0131 da di\u011fer s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131l\u0131klard\u0131r.<\/p>\n<p>Sonu\u00e7 olarak, \u00e7ocuklarda g\u00f6r\u00fclen gastroenterit olgular\u0131n\u0131n etiyolojisinde rotavirus ve adenovirus g\u00f6z \u00f6n\u00fcnde bulundurulmal\u0131d\u0131r. Etkenin do\u011fru \u015fekilde belirlenmesi, gastroenteritlerin \u00e7o\u011funlukla viruslara ba\u011fl\u0131 olmas\u0131 nedeniyle gereksiz antibiyotik kullan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n azalt\u0131lmas\u0131na katk\u0131 sa\u011flayabilir. Hijyen ve sanitasyon kurallar\u0131na uyulmas\u0131 da viral gastroenteritlerden korunmada etkilidir.
