Necrotizing fasciitis is a serious soft tissue infection with rapidly spreading inflammation, thrombosis and necrosis affecting the skin, subcutaneous tissue and fasciae. The disease should be diagnosed early and appropriate antibiotherapy and surgical debridement should be applied. Delay in diagnosis or treatment significantly increases the morbidity and mortality of the disease. The aim of this report is to present a case with mortal necrotizing fasciitis in the light of the literature.
