{"id":16926,"date":"2021-01-05T01:25:42","date_gmt":"2021-01-04T22:25:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.klimikdergisi.org\/\/2021\/01\/05\/evaluation-of-hiv-aids-cases\/"},"modified":"2021-01-05T01:25:42","modified_gmt":"2021-01-04T22:25:42","slug":"evaluation-of-hiv-aids-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.klimikdergisi.org\/en\/2021\/01\/05\/evaluation-of-hiv-aids-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Evaluation of HIV\/AIDS Cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Abstract<\/h1>\n<p> <strong>Objective<\/strong>: The aim of this study was to identify the characteristics of HIV\/AIDS patients clinical features and disease complications.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Methods<\/strong>: From January 2003 through October 2005, 27 patients with HIV\/AIDS admitted to Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, Ondokuz May\u0131s University Hospital were enrolled in this study.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Results<\/strong>: The initial CD4 count was &lt;350\/mm3 in 16 cases. The major route of transmission was sexual. On admission, 6 cases with HIV infection had an opportunistic infection. The mortality rate was 11%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Conclusions<\/strong>: In conclusion, HIV\/AIDS is a serious infectious disease with regard to transmission and several clinical features.
