The screening tests were performed on non-risk applicants. HBsAg, anti-HCV antibody and anti-HIV 1\/2 + p24 antigen tests were performed by using microparticle enzyme immunoassay (MPEIA) (Architect i2000 SR, Abbott, Germany).<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Results<\/strong>: Routine screening tests were applied to 3316 blood donors. The tests were positive for HbsAg in 64 (1.9%) donors, and in 3 (0.1%) donors for anti-HCV.
